Plans & Limits
Overview
Every Pingniner account is on a plan, and the plan decides five things: how many monitors you can create, how often they can be checked, how long history is kept, how many status pages you get, and how many people can share the account.
New accounts start on the Free plan. All paid plans include a 14-day trial, and yearly billing saves 20%.
See pingniner.com/pricing for current prices.

What counts as a monitor
There is one limit — the number of monitors — and a monitor can be anything you monitor. Sites, Servers, Workstations, Pings, Ports, Heartbeats and Blacklists all draw from the same allowance, with no per-type caps and no type that is exempt.
A Free plan's 5 monitors might be three sites, a server and a heartbeat — the split is yours to choose, and you can change it whenever you like by deleting one and adding another.
INFO
When you hit your monitor limit, the Add button on every monitor type is replaced by a prompt to subscribe or upgrade. Existing monitors keep running.
The only separate allowances are status pages and users, both listed in the table above. Contacts — people who receive alerts but cannot sign in — are unlimited on every plan.
Check frequency
Which frequencies appear in the Monitoring frequency dropdown depends on your plan:
| Plan | Available frequencies |
|---|---|
| Free | 5, 10, 15, 30 minutes, Hourly, Daily |
| Hobby, Pro | Every minute, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15, 30 minutes, Hourly, Daily |
| Business, Enterprise | Every 30 seconds, every minute, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15, 30 minutes, Hourly, Daily |
This applies to the pulled monitor types — sites, pings, ports and blacklists. Servers always report every minute and workstations every hour, regardless of plan. Heartbeats use a schedule you define, since it describes your job rather than our checks.
Data retention
Retention controls how long individual check history is kept — the per-check rows behind the History tab and the performance charts.
- Free: 24 hours
- All paid plans: 30 days
Older history is deleted automatically. Retention is applied per monitor and re-synced whenever your plan changes, so upgrading immediately starts keeping more, and downgrading begins trimming back.
INFO
Incident records are kept permanently, on every plan. That is why uptime reports and status page uptime figures can cover a full month even on the free plan — they are built from incidents, not from raw history.
The exception is the response-time column in uptime reports, which does depend on retention. See Uptime Reports.
Paid-only features
Four features are unavailable on the free plan:
- Lighthouse audits — the toggle on a site is disabled with a note explaining why.
- Broken-link crawls — requesting a crawl prompts you to upgrade.
- Additional monitoring locations on sites — the primary location still works; you just cannot add the five extras.
- Median response time alerts — the trigger appears but cannot be enabled. It compares against a 7-day baseline, which needs more history than the free plan's 24-hour retention keeps.
Everything else — every monitor type, every notification channel, status pages, custom domains, uptime reports and the agent — is available on the free plan, within the limits above.
Users
The user count includes the account owner. A Pro plan's "4 users" means the owner plus three colleagues.
Contacts do not count. A contact can receive alerts and reports but cannot sign in, so you can add as many alert recipients as you need on any plan.
Changing plans
Manage your subscription under Account → Billing. See Billing for upgrading, downgrading, cancelling and invoices.
When you upgrade, new limits apply immediately and retention increases from that point forward — it does not recover history already deleted.
When you downgrade or a subscription ends, your account returns to free-plan limits. Monitors over the new limit are not deleted, but you will not be able to add more until you are back under the cap.
Trials
All paid plans include a 14-day trial. You get full plan features during the trial, and it converts to a paid subscription at the end unless you cancel. Cancel any time before it ends and you are not charged.
