Billing

Billing lives under Account → Billing. Only account owners can see it.

For what each plan includes, see Plans & Limits. For current prices, see pingniner.com/pricing.

Subscribing

  1. Go to Account → Billing.
  2. Choose a plan and a billing interval — monthly or yearly. Yearly saves 20%.
  3. Enter your payment details.
  4. Confirm.

New limits apply immediately.

Trials

All paid plans include a 14-day trial with full plan features.

The trial converts into a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel first. Cancel at any point during the trial and you are not charged.

Changing plans

Upgrade or downgrade at any time from the billing portal. Changes are prorated.

Upgrading applies new limits immediately. Retention increases from that point on — it does not restore history that has already been deleted.

Downgrading applies the lower limits. Monitors above the new limit are not deleted, but you cannot add more until you are back under the cap. Retention is trimmed to the new plan.

Cancelling

Cancel from the billing portal at any time. Your subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for, then the account returns to Free plan limits.

Nothing is deleted on cancellation. Your monitors, history and status pages remain — but free-plan limits apply, so:

  • Only 5 monitors can be added going forward
  • Retention drops to 24 hours
  • Lighthouse, broken-link crawls and additional site locations become unavailable

Payment methods

Visa, Mastercard and American Express, plus PayPal.

Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as merchant of record. Your card details are handled by Paddle and never reach Pingniner.

Invoices and receipts

Invoices are available in the billing portal and emailed when payment is taken.

VAT and sales tax

Paddle handles tax as merchant of record, charging VAT or sales tax according to your location.

Add your VAT number in the billing portal if you have one. For valid EU business numbers outside Paddle's country of establishment, the reverse charge applies and VAT is not added.

Failed payments

If a payment fails you will be emailed and given time to fix it. Update your card in the billing portal.

Monitoring keeps running during a failed-payment retry period. If payment ultimately cannot be taken the subscription ends and the account returns to free-plan limits.

TIP

Card expiry is the most common cause of an unexpected downgrade. Update it in the billing portal before it expires, not after your monitors start hitting free-plan limits.

Common questions

Can I change plans mid-cycle? Yes, at any time. Changes are prorated.

What happens to my data if I cancel? It stays. Free-plan retention applies from that point, so older history is pruned.

Do servers and workstations count toward my monitor limit? Yes. Every monitor type draws from the same allowance. See Plans & Limits.

Can I get a refund? Open a support ticket.

How do I close my account entirely? Cancel the subscription in the billing portal, then open a support ticket to request deletion.

Monitoring done right.
